Tecnocabel started as a family company.
Founded in 1997 it has experienced significant development.

| 1997 | Born in Estarreja, near Oporto, in small warehouse,160m² |
| 2001 | Implementation of ERPII, Microsoft Navision software (i.e. similar to SAP) |
| 2004 | Accomplish of TÜV ISO 9001:2000 certification |
| 2005 | Acquisition of new production facilities, warehouse in Ovar, with 2.000m² |
| 2006 | Start of production for Vorwerk |
| 2007 | New business area in place, components for wind farms, (an increasing business) |
